Andy was born in Scotland, but grew up in a small village in north Wiltshire. Before dentistry, Andy studied Biochemistry at the University of Warwick, and graduated with first class honours. He soon realised, however, that teeth were far more interesting than the contents of Petri dishes, so moved to Devon to study at Peninsula Dental School, where he graduated with honours and won four end-of-year awards.
Andy spent his dental foundation training year in Marlborough before moving back to Devon, and has been working here at Chagford Dental Practice since August 2015. Andy enjoys all aspects of general dental practice, and finds great reward in really getting to know his patients, and finding out what their dental aims and aspirations are. In this way Andy provides a relaxed environment in his clinic, where patients feel comfortable, valued, and truly involved in their dental care. |
