Fixed Braces

Fixed braces can be used to treat the entire mouth or a small selection of teeth and is suitable for all ages. Oral hygiene is vital during orthodontic treatment and patients and advised to see the hygienist frequently.
 
Small squares, known as brackets, are bonded to the teeth and a series of wires are used to gradually move the teeth to their desired position. The end result being a rounded arch and improved bite.

​Fixed or removable retainers are made at the end of treatment and are essential to maintain the final result. Teeth do have a tendency to want to relapse back to their original position.

Invisalign

Invisalign is a clear, removable, comfortable, customised and predictable form of treatment involving a series of bespoke trays made to suit your needs. These are designed to be:

  • Clear – no one will be able to tell you are wearing them
  • Removable – remove your Invisalign to eat, drink and clean your teeth. Oral hygiene is incredibly important
  • Comfortable – as Invisalign is removable there are no fixed brackets or wires to irritate your soft tissues and cause trauma
  • Customised – impressions are taken and sent away for the Invisalign technicians to create your made-to-measure aligners
  • Predictable – at your initial consultation the dentist will take some impressions. These impressions will be sent to Invisalign who will scan them and produce a 3D picture of your teeth before, during and after the treatment. If you are not happy with any of the pictures your treatment can be adjusted or cancelled.
