The patient journey
Please arrive at your scheduled appointment time and knock on the door. We currently have a locked door policy to limit the amount of people in the building at one time.
One of our reception team will greet you. You will be asked to wear a face covering and to use hand sanitiser and your temperature will be taken using a contactless thermometer.
Our reception team will then guide you to the waiting room where you will be asked to wait until you are called for your appointment.
Our waiting room has been adapted to comply with current social distancing measures and this will be maintained throughout the building.
Safety measures
All staff at Chagford Dental practice are trained on the current Covid-19 guidelines.
Please notify our reception team via telephone or e-mail if you feel unwell or have Covid-19 symptoms and do not come in to the dental practice. Stay at home and follow NHS guidance.
Please wear a face covering and attend the appointment alone where possible.
Please keep patient belongings to a minimum.
The use of the patient bathroom is being kept to a minimum and please note there is no facility to brush your teeth.
Card payments are preferred.
We are using anti viricidal foggers and HEPA UV air purification systems in all surgeries and our waiting area.
There are Perspex screens where possible in the waiting area and all waiting areas etc are wiped down with antibacterial wipes on a regular basis.
All surgeries are cleaned as per guidance from HTM 0105 .
PPE
In order to keep staff and patients safe we are using additional PPE for some procedures. Due to the worldwide shortage of PPE the cost of it has gone up and therefore for aerosol generated procedures we are passing on a fee of £25.00 to patients. This fee is reviewed on a regular basis and they will be removed when costs return to normal.
